TO US, IT’S NOT JUST AN EVENT…IT’S AN EXPERIENCE!

Established in 2009, 5flavors has become known as central Illinois’ premier catering company.  Whether it be a wedding, corporate event, or intimate dinner party, we specialize in off-site, full service catering for events large and small.

Food is our passion, and party planning is our forte.  Our team is composed of experienced event coordinators and professional caterers, led by an accomplished owner and seasoned chef who’s trained to the highest degree.

When it comes to planning an event, the details matter.  Not only will we create an extraordinary menu, but we can also help with rental items such as specialty china and linens, tents, and tables and chairs.  Let us take your vision and transform your event into an experience your guests will never forget!

Chip Kennedy

EXECUTIVE CHEF  ENTREPRENEUR  RESTAURANTEUR

Owner, Chef Chip Kennedy, has always had a passion for cooking.  As a young boy growing up in Springfield, Illinois, he enjoyed experimenting with food and then sharing his dishes with his friends and family.  After graduating high school, he decided to make his passion a career. 

Chef Chip earned his culinary degree from Scottsdale Culinary Institute in Arizona.   He then put his skills to the test working for numerous fine dining restaurants throughout Oregon and Colorado. 

Since returning to his hometown in 2009, Chef Chip has made quite a mark in Springfield.  Catering is only one of his culinary passions.  In a year’s time, he has opened not one but two popular restaurants with his business partners, Tacology 101 and Finley’s Tap House.  His talents have led him to being nominated for various awards such as Small Business Person of the Year and Forty under 40.   

Chef Chip also greatly enjoys sharing his love for food with the community.  You will often catch him doing cooking demonstrations on various local news and radio stations or find him teaching a culinary course at Lincoln Land Community College.
